Nvidia launches Tegra Processor

Nvidia must have been eyeing the mobile market for quite some date now, whether not they would not have made the essential preparations some day ago to come up with the Tegra processor which will target mobile devices. The Tegra has been dubbed by Nvidia to be “the world’s first computer on a chip for mobile visual computers”, bringing together the capabilities of a processor, GPU, system memory and more onto a chip so small, it is approximately 10x more efficient

than the competition and will be able to supply a whopping up to 26 to 30 hours of HD video playback on a singled-out battery charge. Sounds as though we’re already in the second half of the 21st century, eh? It will be interesting to see how Nvidia’s Tegra fare against Intel’s Atom processor when it comes to the crunch.
